(these lyrics were written by ásthildur and me. she wrote something first that i then added to without really knowing what it was about. but then i imagined this was about loosing somebody and being really depressed going through old photos of this person. moi was our favorite word at the time and we thought it was really funny to replace me with moi. i don't think it's that funny anymore though.)

(this song is about school and i wanted to call it school but the girls wouldn't allow me. my class was called 10.ET and the E.T. reference in the end is to that. it's about how school is bad and boring and it's easier to see it if you speak icelandic but it also says in the last line: please don't kill him, which means it's bad but it's also good even if you don't talk about that all the time. i hope you get it but it makes sense if it makes no sense.)

Fyrsta Morr útgáfan okkar! / Our first Morr release!

so this is what we're doing these days. our first morr release finally in the air see here: http://www.morrmusic.com/artist/Pascal%20Pinon/release/159 , a video with the brilliant vincent moon on saturday and iceland airwaves this october! it's a shame though that we're playing at almost the same time as amiina, one of our favorite bands. but i recommend you stop by and see our show as we're planning to make it one of our best.

Eitt langt blogg eftir langan tíma / One long blog after a long time

Hæ aftur

ég ætla ekki að biðjast afsökunar á því hvað við höfum verið latar við að blogga. það er alltaf bjánalegt þegar maður gerir of mikið af því en ég er samt miður mín, þó ég efast um að nokkur maður lesi þetta hvort eð er. það er samt ágætt að segja frá hvað sé að gerast hjá okkur þó það sé ekki svo margt.

svo, eins og ég sagði þá skrifuðum við undir samning og urðum alltíeinu þvílíkt uppteknar við að mixa plötuna okkar alveg upp á nýtt. en vegna þess hvað við erum orðnar latar við greinilega meira heldur en að blogga þá einhvernveginn frestuðum við því alltaf aðeins meir og meir. biðum eftir því að einhver gerði eitthvað í staðin fyrir að láta hlutina gerast sjálfar.

á endanum kom mr.morr með deadline og við enduðum á því að eyða 11 klukkustundum (nánast) samfleytt fyrir framan tölvuna þar sem pabbi stillti hljóðið fram og tilbaka á allri plötunni. þegar við komum svo heim kl.12 á sunnudagskvöldi (eiginlega mánudegi) vorum við gjörsamlega steiktar í hausnum. ég varð svo stressuð af því að sitja kjur í svona langan tíma, kom með álit við og við (eiginlega alltaf það sama; já þetta hljómar vel) að á seinustu klukkutímunum var ég orðin vægast sagt klikkuð, farin að dansa kjánalega, stappa fætinum, framkalla óþolandi hljóð og þannig dót. þegar við vorum loksins búin leið mér svo vel.

þetta virðist allt vera að smella saman. umslagið er í vinnslu einhversstaðar í útlöndum og við erum að gera okkur klárar í haustið.

Hi again

i'm not going to apologize for being lazy at blogging, it's always lame when they do that too much. though i am sorry really. although i think barely anyone reads this at all it's still nice to give an update of what's happening with the band.

so as i said before we signed a contract and became really busy mixing our album completely all over again. but because we seem to be getting lazier at more areas than just blogging we kind of just kept it on the shelf, waited for something to happen more than making things happen ourselves.

at the end mr.morr gave us a deadline and we ended up spending 11 hours (almost) straight sitting in front of the computer with our dad compressing and equalizing the entire album. when we got home at the twelve o'clock sunday night our heads were completely fried with repetition. i had become so anxious sitting there still, giving an opinion every now and then (pretty much just saying yes that's great) that at the final hours i was dancing silly, tapping my feet, making irritating noises and such things. when it was finally over it felt so good.

this whole thing seems to be happening at last. the cover is being made somewhere over seas and we are just getting ready for the fall.

svo þannig hefur það verið í dag. að mixa. hlusta á það sama aftur og aftur. ekki margt áhugavert ég veit. en það er næstum búið og þá verður stórt partí blogg þess til heiðurs.

Mix og Morr / Mix and Morr

Sæl öll,
Það er með sannri ánægju sem ég færi yður þær fregnir að vér höfum nú skrifað undir samning hjá Morr Music í Þýskalandi. Þess vegna erum við mjög uppteknar við að mixa og undirbúa plötuna okkar fyrir útgáfu um allan heim! Seinni platan verður víst að bíða.
Það er mjög góð stemning hér í slátrinu. Við sitjum allan daginn og hlustum og stillum hvert einasta hljóð vel og vandlega þangað til allt hljómar fullkomlega.

Hello everyone,
It is with great pleasure that I inform all our fans that we have now signed a contract with Morr Music in Germany. Therefor we are really busy mixing and preparing our album for a worldwide release! The second album will have to wait a bit.
The atmosphere here in the studio is great. We sit all day and listen and set each and every sound until it is perfect.
